清醒

清醒是指在不感到困倦的情况下保持意识的能力增强,同时伴随着睡眠需求的减少哦。[1] 这与刺激(Stimulation)有所不同呢,因为它不会直接将人的能量水平提升到正常基线以上,而是产生一种清醒、休息充分和警觉的感觉嘛。[2][3] 如果在使用这种物质之前感到困倦,睡眠的冲动会消退,睁开眼睛会变得更容易,疲惫带来的认知迷雾也会减少哦。[4] 然而,在极端情况下,积累了足够的睡眠不足还是会压倒或抵消这种效果的呢。[2]

清醒通常是在中等(Common)剂量的各种化合物影响下产生的,比如兴奋剂益智药迷幻剂哦。不过值得注意的一点是,有少数化合物能选择性地诱导这种效果,而不会伴随许多其他副作用,这些被称为觉醒剂(eugeroics)或促清醒剂呢。其中包括莫达菲尼[2][3][5][6]和阿莫达菲尼(armodafinil)[2]
