返老还童感 可以描述为在某些化合物的药效残余期感受到的一种从轻微到极度的认知清爽感。返老还童感的症状通常包括持续的思维清晰度提高、情绪稳定性增加、平静感增加、正念、动机增强、个人偏见抑制、专注力强化和抑郁减轻。在其最高程度上,返老还童的感觉可能变得如此强烈,以至于表现为深刻而压倒性的“重生”感。这种精神状态可能在物质药效消退后持续数小时到数月不等。
返老还童感最常在中等剂量的致幻剂化合物影响下被诱发,例如迷幻剂和解离剂。然而,它也可能在共情剂、大麻类和冥想的影响下发生,但程度较轻。
