思维循环

思维循环 (Thought loop) 被定义为陷入一系列思维、动作和情绪的循环中，这些内容在一个周期性的循环中一遍又一遍地重复。这些循环的长度通常在5秒到2分钟之间。然而，一些用户报告说它们的长度可达数小时。经历这种效应可能会让人极度迷失方向，并且常常会在那些不熟悉这种体验的人中引发渐进的焦虑状态。结束思维循环最有效的方法就是干脆坐下来，试着放手。

这种精神状态最有可能发生在记忆抑制的状态下，此时人的短期记忆部分或完全失效。这可能表明思维循环是由于认知过程因短期记忆丧失而无法维持适当的时间长度，导致思维过程试图从头开始，结果却在一个永久的循环中再次功亏一篑。

思维循环最常在严重 剂量的致幻化合物影响下被诱发，[1] 如迷幻剂和解离剂。然而，在极严重剂量的兴奋剂和苯二氮卓类物质影响下，它们也可能在较小程度上发生。
